Another option to reach the islands are the ships that operate from Chennai, Vishakhapatnam and Kolkata. The thing to note however is that the schedule of these ships is tentative and changes according to the weather. Also, these are not luxury ships and only have basic facilities.

Now that you know how to reach, let’s see which are the most favorable months to visit the islands. The best months are from October to May with perfect weather. Plan your trip accordingly and make sure you stay there for a minimum of 10- 12 days.

  • Bioluminescence

      Don’t know swimming? Don’t worry. Scuba is a fun activity that needs no swimming skills. It is only when you want to venture into the open waters that swimming is needed. Sea walking and scuba diving are activities that are done in restricted areas with proper protection.

    Don’t be surprised. The star of swimming, Rajan is very warm and welcoming host. The 60 plus elephant is human friendly and loves swimming with travelers. Make sure to book your swim with him beforehand. The best part about it is that there are no charges.

The question I had was – How soon do you think I should look at getting my hotel reservations and internal travel bookings done considering Feb would be peak season?     @Geeta Havelock Beach is mostly recommended for Snorkeling in Andaman & Nicobar islands.

    @Naman If you’re travelling via flight then you can definitely visit Andaman and Nicobar for 4 days but tour to Andaman and Nicobar is recommended for atleast a week.
