There are amazing places people miss entirely when visiting Phuket. Like most people, if you want to visit this paradise but wish to see it from a lesser-known angle and discover the places most people haven’t heard of, keep reading!
This beautiful beach has been on the list of unexplored places to visit in Phuket for a while now. Banana Beach is quite large with clear blue waters, palm trees, and excellent sand quality; it is a mystery why it hasn’t been developed like the rest of the island. Although a restaurant has been there for a very long time. This beach is hard to find if you don’t know where to look. Just spotting the tiny entrance from the road is tricky for most explorers. The best route is to go to the airport, and when you are almost there at the T-junction, turn left instead of right as you would for the Phuket Airport. Follow the signs to the Naithon beach, and drive a few more kilometres.
Haad Sai Kaew means ‘Glass Sand Beach’ in Thai. It is a beautiful endless beach located at the very north of Phuket Island. During the high season, the sea has an eye-soothing blue tone. It is also home to some great small seafood restaurants. We wonder why such a breathtaking beach lays among the unexplored places to visit in Phuket.
Bon Island (or Koh Bon) is located at the south of Rawai Beach in Phuket and is a quick long-tail boat ride away. Few sandy beaches fence the coast, and despite being so close to Phuket, it hasn’t yet been explored much. Just two beaches on the Bon island are occupied, but only during the daytime.
The Thalang road is where everyone goes for exploration. It’s a nice walk and a must-do. If you have a passion for old houses, you might want to explore a bit deeper to uncover some fantastic mansions standing still right before our eyes. Everyone drives too fast to notice them! This is one of the reasons why it is listed among the unexplored places to visit in Phuket. It is so fascinating to imagine Phuket a hundred years ago when standing in front of these beautiful mansions.
Piang Prai (Krua Piang Prai) is a local restaurant hidden in a green nest just next to the Bang Pae waterfall, which is why it is counted among the unexplored places to visit in Phuket. Mostly unknown to tourists because of its remote location, Piang Prai is one of the two great places to have lunch if you happen to be in the area (the other restaurant being Bang Pae Seafood).
