Also known as the Island of Gods and Paradise Island, Bali is indeed the heaven on earth. It is an island and province of Indonesia which boasts of a surreal beauty defined by picturesque landscapes, volcanic hillsides, scenic views, and historical spots. Considered as one of Bali’s spiritual pillars, Uluwatu Temple is located in the Bukit Peninsula Island. It is well known for its royal structure and beauty. It is aligned at the steep cliff of 70 meters above the Indian Ocean. The temple is said to build in the 11th century and is counted among the best places on the island to go to for sunset delights.
A splendid rock formation, Pura Tanah Lot is one of the most popular temple in Bali. It is nested peacefully on a rock in the ocean, just offshore. It is located in the Beraban village of the Tabanan regency which is around 20 km northwest of Kuta. The temple is around a 30-40min drive by cab from Seminyak. It is believed to have been built on the recommendation of a well-known Hindu priest Danghyang Nirartha.
Ubud is well-known for its food, culture, restaurants, cafes and streets of shops. It is said to be the heart of Bali, and rightly so! You’ll find a number of entertainment and sightseeing options here, the place has a little bit of everything for everyone. The place is at an elevation at 200m above sea level, and thus enjoys pleasant temperature. It has cooler temperatures than the coast.
The most famous beach resort destination in Bali- Kuta beach attracts a number of surfers and sunbathers. Kuta Beach is considered as one of the best places to visit in Bali. It has its unique charm and immense beauty. This is one of the major reasons as to why it is usually fully-booked in the peak seasons. It is mainly from July to August and the holiday season for Christmas and New Year. The best part about Kuta beach is that it is highly affordable.
Located 22 kms from Denpasar, Nusa Dua beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in Bali. The name Nusa Dua is derived from two words nusa which means ‘island’ and dua which means ‘two’. It is commonly known as the ‘upscale’ district of Bali and many of the high end resorts are located here. It is an ideal place for anyone looking forward to relax on the beach, enjoy a day swimming or have dinner by the beach side.
Nusa Dua is indeed one of the best options to eat if you want to avoid the high priced restaurants in the resorts. The place is also well-known for Camel Safaris which take you on a leisure walk along the beach. You can also visit Pura Gegar which is one of the most famous attractions in Nusa Dua, located to the south of the iconic Gegar Beach.
