Pin-Parvati pass is the shortest path that connects the Parvati valley in Kullu to the Pin Valley in Spiti. The 11-day adventure will begin from Bershaini in Kullu and then trek towards Rudranath-Kheerganga-Tundabhuj-Thakur Kuan-Odi Thach-Mantalai Lake-Summit Camp-Tiya-Kaza-Manali.
The virtual tour to Pin-Parvati trek cannot justify the beauty and grandeur of the place. It would be one heck of a journey to undertake that will surely change you as a person and quench your thirst for travelling for a long time.
The journey will reveal different forms of nature and mesmerizing landscapes. Including the drives, the total distance to be covered is 110 kilometers. This trek is recommended only for experienced trekkers who have done 2-3 days treks in the Himalayan altitudes.
Pin-Parvati pass was opened to trekkers and tourists in 1993, giving access to the previously difficult-to-reach Spiti region of Himalayas. The landscapes on the two points of the pass are strikingly different, from the lush greenery of the Parvati valley to the cold dry deserts of the Spiti hosting the wind-eroded mountains.
Covered with snow throughout the year, the Pin-Parvati trudge will provide a rare trekking opportunity on a glacier. Major peaks which would be seen are West Horn, Kullu Makalu, Kangla Tarbo, Parvati South and Kullu Eiger.
During the entire trail, you will come across beautifully varied landscapes – from meadows, pristine snow patches, huge green lands and the pulley bridge of Tunda Bhuj to the marshlands of Mantalai, Alpine meadows of Odi Thach, dense forests of Kheerganga and the hot water springs. All of these will make you count your blessings after a day-long trek.
